This blog is all about me, and anything about me. Be prepare to be loaded with lots of food, movies, music, grumbles and even some foul language. This is the place for anyone who knows me, even on the most superficial level. Enjoy and hope you know me better each day. (please adjust your display setting to Unicode)

Freed?
Today, I received my significant of freedom: pink, civilian ID.

From now on, I can call all of my former superior by their name, treating them as my equal. I need not show them face if they ever get on my nerve, and I can tell them on their face striaght away. I will joke with them and entertain their shit only as I pleased. Trust me, jerks are everywhere, but the SAF keeps most of them. Remember that big pieces of black Indian lard? He's out of my vision today, as his existence is insignificant.

But then again, I need not to be on ceremony with superiors I can get along with.

However, this will start my new journey in life, into the real world. From this point on, I am unplugged from the anti-society that prepares us from the real world. Any mistake made, there is no turning back.

Welcome to the next stage of eternal burden of life.

Grumble
Say what you want about my willful way over that event. But I won't have rigged it out again if not that the fact that the local press printed out the message I left on phone that day. Other than having some beautification, it was true to my original words.

What bugged me was another message, left by a fans that had meet Sakai Noriko that day. He shaked hands with her, and receive verbal thanks for support on the serial.

He is so lucky. I so stupid, as I did not had the thought to queue up earlier.

1 more day... to freedom.

Misses
Just as I am still planning how to do my scrap book for Japan trip, let me name a few misses in the trip, reusulting from my misplan.

On the forth day, I planned to visit this shrine to attend its annual matsuri or festival. I had only read it on the travel magazine I bought for the trip. Very little was there on the details. Hence, everything was dependent on the day itself.

As a result, after attending the tea ceremony in the day, and took a few photo of the shrine, we realise we were there too early. First, the mass parade was on the next day. Secondly, the night ceremony was at eight.

So, we gave ourselves a new itinery: visit the National Diet Library.

The library, based upon the Congress Library of the State, is very user-unfriendly. You want a book? Write on a request form, then wait for the book to come to you. And did I mention it closes at 5pm?

After a few more hours to kill, we were back at the shrine, only to our very big dismay.

The night ceremony that night is not open to public. The acutal night fair where you get to buy food and play folk game, is on the night I fly back to Singapore. A few locals also mistook the event, and that made us feel a little better (^_^!!!

Sorry once again to my fellow NT. I will definately prevent this from happening the next time round m(_ _)m

Sakai-san... ai-tai...
Singapore seems to be never appealing to Japanese stars. So far, other than Oda Kazumasa and Chage and Aska that had been to Singapore more than once, don't even mention any bigger names that visit here.

Surprisingly, a local video chain, Poh Kim, managed to pull in Sakai Noriko, of Heaven's Coin fame, to visit here for less than 24 hours. She was suppose to promote Toshiie to Matsu, a periodical drama she starred in 2 years back about the warlords of Japan's Warring State.

Being a big fans (short for fanatics...) of Sakai-san, I attended her appearance at Junction 8 today. I was happy over her visit for 3 days about 2 months ago.

However, it really fucked up.

After queueing up for more than 2 hours, being about the 30+ person in the 100+ people queue, I did not even got a glimpse of the mature, beautiful Japanese idol/actress... Only 20 people went into the shop itself, where Sakai-san was in it, to received a close up view. I was not one of them.

Why? No real explanation.

The staff gave the reason that Sakai-san was petrified by the crowd, and her scedule was tight.

I think the reason she was petrified, was due to the lousy managing of the video chain's staff. They allow tons of none queueing crowds to horde outside the shop. Who would actually be so cheap skate as to hold such event in the smallest store of the chain.

If they were afarid of very little turn-outs, they may just as well scrap the idea in the first place.

The staff also verbally guranteed customers who bought the VCD will get to see Noriko upclose. I was interested in the serial anyway, and bought part 1 of 5. Never did I
expect to see naught of the gorgeous actress.

I hope this won't happen to the autograph session of Fujita Emi, one half of the group Le Couple of Hidamari no Uta and the Camomile series fame.

p.s. Fujita Emi is have a concert at Esplanade on 171004, but Sistic have totally no idea. I go the info from U-weekly, and had confirmed that from her official website. Most ex is S$100, but I will buy the cheapest of S$25 or S$35.

Nihon Kids X S'pore Kids
Finally, after all the excitment of ORD, I'm back here to write a little from my Japan trip.

First thing, a lot of people complain about why have some of the stupidest photo taken i.e. the cloud and sky. I like the sky, I just think I want a piece of Japan sky, that's all. You can say you want, I don't really care.

Second, many complain why so little babes pictures, or any other conventional Japan scenery. That's owe it to my no good camera and my skill, resulting in one whole roll of blur pictures of national treasures of Japan. And to be frank, this trip was never an conventional oversea trip. This is actually just a trip of realising childhood dreams: to go to Japan and see Gundam (and such... the title of this trip's scrap book, under production).

Now, let me tell you what I have learn, other than the Gundam and comic (whatever genre, even adult theme) and related goods that all my fellow NT (i.e. nihon travellers)looking forwards to all he time.

That is, the kids.

Singaporean kids are noramlly spoilt brat, and very much unintelligent. They find stupid things interesting, and can't even remembers their favourite cartoon name properly. They are also irritating, like that brat seated behind me during my return flight... and yes, I gave him verbal warning to sit proper... twice... for banging on my seat and pull my hair.

Japanese kids are much more smarter. They are very inquisitive, but not irritating at all. They are playful like any other kids, but they are totally mindful that their fun should never be other's woe. There was these two little brothers at the hotspring. They were going to and fro between the ice cold water (where they jump out almost instantly) and the hot spring, and I never find them disturbing to anyone, as they just have the mind to look out for others.

And why?

The parents.

Being a more developed society, Japanese kids are definatly given more complete education from young, and hence being able to remember names.

You can say that applies in Singapore too. But I don't disagree totally.

But the maturity of the parents here are definately lower.

That brat who irritated me, almost poked my fellow NT on the bus, and the parents thought nothing happened. Not forgetting that the kid open the toilet doors on the bus and never close back (yes... the bus got toilet one, just like the hotel toilet bowl washes the butt for you... Japan tech...)

On the contray, I accidentaly ran into a kid along the Japan street and he stumble a little. The parents said sorry to me almost instantly. I did the same as I was at fault. I would have been scolded by the women if i was in Singapore.

I want to leave these for all as reminders as to what type of parents we want to become, and waht kids you want to raise.

ORD loh
Finally, the government can think straight.

They change the duration of JC-poly batch from 2 1/2 years to 2 years. Further on, those in service will have months deducted.

I don't care what reason they give, as all I know is that I will be finishing my serivce on 30th this month!

If you want to know more about my Japan trip, you will just have to wait till my guard duties are over, and when I get over the joy of earlier ORD.

Hence, 15 days and counting...

On My Way
Here I am, sitting at a free internet point this time, writting a small note from Japan after 1 week of total spebdthrift.

I am not going to say too much afte the trip, because I have a ton of pictures and tickets in a scrap books that can tell a better story about the trip (despite the fact that the majority of the photos are Japanese weapons abd armoury...)

MY not-so-interested-in-internet friends are sitting behind a row of seats behind me now. In some way, I seems to know them much better after the seven days. On the flip side, I seems to find out how different we had become from each others since we separated from school till now. It is not exactly a bad thing though, but I sometime feel a little not being able to fit in with them. We have a lot in difference in term of interest, namely the anime we watched or exposed to. Though we still enjoy each other"s company, but I feel a little left out. Just a little.

To be frank, after this trip, the few of us will truly be going on different ways. While two of us will be studying in different campus, one of us will be studying in England soon. This is also one of the reason for the trip to initiate at the frist place.

This maybe a little strange to crite this at this point of time, but being emotional and a little low in EQ, I justy have to let this out. I know the friends will be reading this when they visit the blog, but I just find that there is a urge to record this as a piece of my life.

Show Off
Now, I just paid 100yen, and using Internet... in JAPAN.

I know I'm a little showy here, but I actually wanted to save the coin for capsule toys. Too bad the free one in Changi is occupied all the time.

Anyway, I have about an hour and half to wait before my bus to hotel (costing 3000yen) will arrive. The 100yen will last 10min anyway.

I'll try to make 'live' update of the events happening this trip.

I am too excited to check my grammer now...

Anything you want me to get you, write it on the board below

59 days and counting... (this may be wrong, can't acess two page at once to check)

Balance
I hate to complain about anything out of my reach, and I know well enough that it is hopeless and wrong to do so. But I really had too much of bad turn of things this week.

Yes, the bad seems to continue from last week.

First, due to my stupidity, I got myself an extra weekday gurad duty to serve during the week after I come back from Japan.

Secondly, I had a real bag hair cut the previous week, and it had gone haywire (literally). I had to pay an extra 10 bucks to sort it out.

Is it really such a bad thing to do by asking luck to balance out?

Let me just withdraw whatever extra I asked then, just let thing work the way it should be, and I will the luckiest man on earth.
