Bad Luck Trails You till End of Worlds...
This week, the routine of bad luck is on, and the omen was clear.

Nothing can be worse when you knew something is going to be wrong, after having a big broom sweeping your feet on my way to work.

First up, ICT. Fucking hell, they chee-bai must call me up fucking 2 days after my GIP trip. It's not like I fucking want to siam ICT, but they pok gai must call so bloodly soon after my GIP, and that make my blood boil. For the whole of the day I received the SAF100, I only one notion in my mind: why am I a Singaporean....?

And next, is just today. I originally planned to go see a cosplay competition, and go there with my housemate and another person from GIP. It started out almost too smooth: found a few new bus that I can take from my place to my nearest subway station; found a gunpla shop on my way to the competition; ordered a beany soya milk that taste better than I expect. As a result, it balance out that the competition is cancelled.... great...

Whether you are in the east of south-east, some guys gets all the bad luck.

Face It
Let's face it, who don't do OT regularly at work?

Back in Singapore, other than the 5pm rush, there's also the 10pm rush, when people got off from work after their OT.

Right here in Corning, after 1 month of internship, I have, to date, done three sessions of OT, of which this week was especially bad, clocking off-work time at 10pm.

But frankly, I do feel good that I am given OT.

Not that I am sadistic, sacarstic or workaholic (this one... maybe I am...), at least I feel I have some value of being made use of, unlike my other housemate, who is now left at a new desk that is like so freaking far away from the rest of us, not to mention his own supervisor.

In another words, I am not complaining. As long as I see the need, I am fairly OK, even at the expense of losing my dinner, or eatting too much during dinner (in the case that my boss treat us to pizza...).

I rather face OT will a light heart, then to go home curse and swear, complaining how last minutes the work is.

On another thought, there's another factor of intern life that do eeks me: my work being edited by some less competant people.

I know I have to face the fact that I have lousy command of English, but the feeling that your own hardwork is being edited by another intern that have not the slightest idea of what the work is about before that, and worse still, I have to cover his/her backside when the work did not got better after going thru them.

OK, enough of facing the things at work that eeks me. Let it pass, and rest well for the next day.

Spending on The Right Thing
We all living in Beijing now thrive on limited budget, and I'm definately one of them.

Spending money is like my middle name, ever notorious on spending a lot. I admit, some of my spending decision, such as buying a vaccum is quite useless.

But I did got some good buy, such as my bounty of summer clothes which I can wear for both work and play, which I still can wear in the years to come.

However, some people just spend ever so stupidly.

There are those who rather waste their saliva to bargain for lower price of immitation goods, that I bet won't last any longer then a year, and not spending on proper boutique brands during sales time, that is both stylish and still value for money.

Some of the people in Beijing now is willing to spend money on a day trip to 天津, where there ain't any great place to look at, but not willing to same amount on the once-life-time meal at the worldwide famous 全聚德 for not too exagerant sum of RMB300 full course dinner.

I am not being sacarstic or bragging about how affluent I am, but come to think about it, back in Singapore, paying the same amount, can you get the equvalent service, ambience and luxury?

Then again, I can't control how others spend their money. I spend mine, I know it's the right thing, I am happy.
