More = Less
Joined Facebook recently.

It is like another Friendster, only more fun-filled/addicting features such as games, games, and more games. With this sort of features, I am not surpirsed it is the latest work-time waster in the recent months in US.

But, on-looking at the huge list of friends you may have, other than those overseas, how many you actually manage to say 'hi' in real-life everyday.

Do you really have so many friends?

Moral Highground
Straight after my last paper yesterday, I'm back at Singapore National
Eyes Centre to further check on my blurred vision.

What a great way to start my last true school holiday.

And right now, I'm actually sitting at the cafe writing this blog on
my phone, all in the name to save a few bucks, as suggested by my eye
doctor.

Trust me, I am in good this time.

In a time where everyone is telling any body to do LasiK, he refuse to
do it. Not that he does not know how to, as the same technique is
applied in more chronicle eye problem. This doctor chose not to do it
because, despite the extra bucks he can earn, all in the name of
defending his own moral highground, and these words come straight out
of his mouth without a single doubt of what came out of his gap. He,
like most of the eye specialists, know too well how dangerous it is.

Though he did asked whether I was interested or not, it was simply
procedure-like, and I hope it is probably because his boss ask him to
ask to garner some business.

And now, my day at the hospital is extended slightly because he wanted
to save me the trouble and money of making another trip down.

These days, eye specialist at affordable (of course, It's still more
than seeing a GP) price is hard to come by, but a good doctor is even
harder to come by, and I'm more than contented to be consulted by one.

Update: After the consultation of the cornea specialist, I am diagonised with viral interstitial keratitis i.e. I will go blind if I do not do something about it. Together with all the allergy I have, I truely feel like a fail creation of the human kind.

Different Life
One down, 3 more to go for this semester.

But I know some people who have close to none after next week. In the meantime, they will still be going for trips, meeting up with friends, etc.

And that's the life of exchange student.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. When I was doing my internship in Beijing, I was either travelling, shopping, if not staying in front of my laptop watching downloaded shows. Life have never been more free than that time.

And because of that, it is still quite hard for me to make good friends with exchange students, not matter how much we might have in common interest. As for those whom we don't share too much in common, sparsing away after the initial one or two month is not suprising afterall.

Get used to it already, we lead a different life.
