Master or Mastered
Admist my craze for Massivley Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game (MMORPG), my faithful PS2 finally back in action after a 2 month long overhaul, i.e. paying for a repair.

Now, I have comparision and choice of what to play.

But after 2-3 days of alternate gaming on both, I feel I have more control over my life on my PS2, as in I won't be putting too much uncontroled time like playing MMORPG.

In another words, I can pause, re-start, save state or even cheat, doing whatever I want to my game on gaming consoles like PS2. You will be puting real-time attention at all time when playing MMORPG, where you will need to interact with real people playing the game.

And I like the sense of control I have in my hand, which trifle less with my daily life, and have less tassle with lou ma zi.

Though I am not going to quit my current MMORPG as yet, I will have to learn to master my game, and not being mastered by my game.

Galatic Politics
Trust me, StarWars could well be the most political reference movie in history. It does not state the event directly, but lots of the story line reflects past and present politician and events.

The Galactic Republic to Empire transistion is like that of Roman empire.

Papaltine is StarWar's answer to Augustus.

While Roman is started by a pair of twins, the new Republic is started by the twin Luke and Leia.

And before the last battle between Anakin/Vader with Obi-wan, Anakin said the something George W Bush mentioned around the period of 911.

And there are just more if you place close attention to the story.

In some way, admist all these pop-culture branding of the franchise, it had actually been a channel of politic education to its audience.

And I really had to pt my caps down to Geroge Lucas for doing so, making it so easily acessible to most people. A role model of mass communication, without the blatant accusation like Micheal Moore.

All and all, put these aside and enjoy the galatic epic.

Never Crossed My Mind
(This is just my view, so please don't kill me if I offended any female from any country who happened to cross this blog.)

I wrote the first draft on my flight back, with BGM of Indian-slang English that remind me of those racist jokes by Peter Rusell.

One thing I will miss wehn I return to Singapore, will most probably be those pretty and fashionable girls on the street in Hong Kong.

Trust me, even the school girls on the street, or even the cashier at the Ajisen Ramen I had my dinner, is worth taking a little more while to look at, even at the cost of a bottle of Oo Long Tea.
I know Will be around the boring, almost uniform Singapore girls the moment I queued up to check in at Lantau(I want to call it lan-tau, which rythm with decayed head....), where I met a group of girls, spotting the same long, staight hair, with single layer sleeveless tops with jeans.

But, there is something I had heard in this trip that had made me ponder for a long while, something from a HongKonger who had freqented Singapore, and had watched lots of Japanese dramas and movies.

He quoted, the only other type of actress that can play roles in Japanese dramas, will not be from Hong Kong.

Instead, Singapore can do the job just as well.

Reason: Singapore girls have this innocence similar in Japanese; Hong Kong girls are too sophisticated.

To be frank, I do find local girls more cheerful, even though they can also be describe as siao ja bo. Hong Kong girls seems more moody, even when they are with friends.

But to say they are comparable to Japanese girls? That too much a compliments. Singapore girls, due to the way they are brought up, will never be like Japanese girls. They might be similarly naive when young, but the world they are exposed to is too different, but this is something I just can't state specificly. There is just something diffierent I always feel that put the local gals at the losing end.

All and all, this is not a piece of comment I will readily swallow and make it a part of me.

lou chen
(canton: old, bluffed fool)

Today. I scaled the fmaous Stanley Peak.

The main reason is more of visiting Madame Tussad's Wax Museum, and take a few cork pictures with 'waxed' celebraties. especially Hamasaki Ayumi (eventhough 'she' did not really look real enough...).

Many 'strange' things occur in the display positioning and the celebraties displayed: Hitler is standing next to Churchill; Einestein is next to Neil Armstrong, who is next to Chinese Premier Hu Jintao; Leslie Cheung is standing opposite Madame Tussad 'herself'...

And you know what? Anita Mui and Ayu each have their own display hall (Kelly Chen's is much smaller, even 'she' change clothes constantly...)! Some kind of diva treatment siah...

Yah, I also realise how pettie Kylie Minogue is finally... so is Eric Clapton's palm (and remind myself I really should put sometime back on guitar, and stop complaining how small my palm is...).

After spending close to 100 bucks, I was amazed for 1 1/2 hour. Not THAT bad...

So, I proceed onto a small stroll around the peak, feeling more and more tourist like, surrounded by ang moh at the famous lou chen ting, ending up in a Haagen Dazs cafe to write the first draft of this post.

Then, in order to waste some more time before going to Obasan's place, I went down to Hong Kong Park, to see birds, using my knowledge from my course I studied last sem finally. I do feel a little sad for Hong Kong, as I was only able to see 3 species of birds in the whole park. I tends to appreciate the myanas and crows from now on.

As I still have some time to spare, I visited the Tea Art Museum, and see lots of tea pots.

And I saw the same group of ang moh I took the tram down from the peak at most of these places.

For your info, I think roads at Mid-Level is even steeper than THE SLOPE at NTU. It's as steap as some part of the tram up.

Enough being a lou chen for a day...

Strange
After an delayed flight, I'm back in Hong Kong.

A place of my birth, yet so strange to me.

I'm surrounded by people who speak improper Catonese, and display the same kiasu nature in Singapore.

What happen to the place of western grace I have in mind?

My hybrid nature is making me complain again.

Biking
Cycling is second nature to me, I have learn to ride since 4.

But today I have a new defination of cycling, using hand.

Though it is promoted by an physically challenged, and the best hand biker is from Germany, this is going to be a sport for everyone.

It works almost the same as convetional bike, complete with gear shift, front and back, and managed to fasinate my roomy/comrade to think about how to improve speed.

If you can't balance on conventional bike, hand bike is your remedy. It has three wheels.

But having good arm power will definately help.

Though I still find riding on a Orange County Cycle made motorbike is going to be the coolest thing on earth, hand biking will make sure you earn attention from people from others.

Ask those who tried and soon you will be an enthu too.
